Rob Roy is located in the heart of the Eanes School District and is in close proximity to downtown Austin, the Wild Basin Wildlife Preserve and St. Stephens Private School. Rob Roy has many boat docks along Lake Austin where the home sit on large lots. Homes in Rob Roy have some of the best views, anywhere, of downtown and a nice price tag to go along with it. There are several neighborhoods in the large acreage of Rob Roy. They are Rob Roy on the Lake, Rob Roy on the Creek and Rob Roy West. The pristine Wild Basin Preserve has 200 plus acres of nature preserve and miles of hiking trails, however no pets, bikes or picnicing are allowed.
